Medical Training

Fourty five American lecturers are to embark on training Rwandese nationals in the field of medicine. This as they concluded discussions with government on the modalities of teaching that is to cover seven years starting august.

Jean de Dieu Ngirabega The director general in charge of treatment in the ministry of health says Rwanda will have enough medical specialists by 2017 to cover medical fields that didn’t have experts.

Ngirabega added that with help of these American lectures diseases like cancer will eventually have local doctors upon the completion of the 7 year program.

The lecturers from 18 US universities are specialized in different medical fields and are to train students in the faculty of medicine at the national university of Rwanda and the nurses institute of Kigali (KHI).
